Islamabad: Pakistan skipper Younis Khan has said that he would be seeking revenge when they play against New Zealand in a ODI series starting next week in United Arab Emirates.
Younis aims to guide Pakistan to number one spot
Pakistan had lost to New Zealand in the semifinals of the Champions Trophy in South Africa, a controversial loss that almost cost him his career.
"New Zealand did very well in the Champions Trophy and I hope we could avenge our defeat by playing as a team against them," The News quoted Younis, as saying.
Younis had to face harsh criticism following Pakistan's back-to-back losses to Australia and New Zealand to exit from the Champions Trophy.
Hilditch optimistic about Hughes comeback
He was pressurized from all sides to quit after he was accused of match-fixing in the games. The charges were later cleared.
Pakistan will play three one-day internationals on November 3, 6 and 9 in Abu Dhabi, and two Twenty20 internationals in Dubai on November 12 and 13, in a series, which was relocated to the United Arab Emirates over security fears.
