England off-spinner Monty Panesar and wicketkeeper Steven Davies have been recalled for the Test series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next month.
Panesar has been out of favour since the first Ashes Test in Cardiff in 2009, while Davies has not played for his country since the ODI series against Australia in January.
"Monty Panesar, who has been playing cricket in Sydney recently, has been selected as the second spin option along with Graeme Swann," The Sun quoted national selector Geoff Miller, as saying.
The 16-man team will also see the return from injury of batsman Eoin Morgan and fast bowlers Stuart Broad, Chris Tremlett and Tim Bresnan.
The three-Test series gets underway on January 17 in Dubai.
