CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Police on Tuesday recovered star spinner Harbhajan Singh's stolen bag and was sent to the Delhi address provided by the player.
Thieves had attacked Harbhajan's car at Karnal on Monday and had stolen cash, credit cards, passport and driving license.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) Karnal, Joginder Rathi said on Tuesday that the bag had been recovered from green belt in sector 13 in Karnal and it contained 34 debit cards, five ATM cards and a green card of his cousin.
He said that the police has caught some suspects and was interrogating them.
He also informed that thieves escaped with Rs 9500 in cash, a passport, necessary documents and cards.
No sooner did the police came to know of the theft, it acted swiftly and five teams of police personnel were sent to different places to arrest the culprits.
These teams were still looking for the criminals as the police was searching for the thieves in the area adjacent to Madhuban, slum area and neighbouring districts. He hoped that the culprit would soon be arrested.
