English wicketkeeper Matthew Prior has challenged rivals Australia that England is set to 'bully' them in the back-to-back Ashes series, later this year.

Stating that he remembered watching Australian legends Shane Warne, Matthew Hayden and Glenn McGrath throwing their weight around England, Prior said that it is now his team's turn to dominate Australia in the two Ashes series, the Telegraph reports.

Prior said that anything is possible if the English squad prepare and perform according to their expectations, and added that there is no lack of skilful batsmen and bowlers in the English dressing room.

Referring to the fact that past Oz teams swept out English newcomers with their game playing and occasional swearing, Prior said that England would show them the same courtesy during the Ashes.

The keeper added that creating an intensity on the patch, combined with their bowling techniques, are few of the tricks which would keep the Australian players on their toes.

However, the English keeper said that his team would have to well-prepared because the Australian Test side is anything but weak.

Despite Australia's inexperience, Prior said that he is wary of a team that held their own against the top-ranked South Africa before defeating Sri Lanka recently.

Although his squad is relieved that Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey cannot be replaced immediately, other new players may be a threat to the English side as they all would want to play well and prove a point.

Alastair Cook's side will bid to become the first England team in 123 years to win four consecutive Ashes urns and re-assert themselves as the dominant force in cricket's oldest rivalry.
