Out-of-favour India batsman, Yuvraj Singh, smashed his 25th first-class century as Punjab posted a record opening day score of 347/3 in 89 overs at Lahli (surpassing Haryana's 339/7 against Rajasthan during last edition) during his team's second match of the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season against Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. Yuvraj, who finished with an unbeaten 164 on Day 1, was dismissed early on Friday morning as Punjab were all out for 378.
Yuvraj fell for 177, caught and bowled by Ishwar Pandey who finished with an eight-wicket haul.
Yuvraj's innings came under immense pressure as he was at the crease with Punjab struggling at 15 for 2 after losing Manan Vohra (2) and Uday Kaul (6).
Yuvi added 180 runs for third wicket with opener Jiwanjot Singh and another 150-plus runs for the fourth wicket with Gurkeerat Singh.
