New Delhi: Virender Sehwag has been excluded from India’s 30-man probables list for the Champions Trophy 2013, which begins in June in England, a BCCI release revealed on Saturday (April 6). Also missing from the list were the names of Cheteshwar Pujara, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh.
This is the latest in an increasing line of blows for Sehwag, who was recently dropped for the final Two tests in a four-match series against Australia, and before that, had been left out of the five-match One-Day International series against England.
Pujara, who was part of the squad for the ODIs against England but didn’t get an outing, also missed out, despite continuing to impress in the Test arena.
However, the list included young players like Unmukt Chand, Parveez Rasool and Ishwar Pandey.
