Wedding bells are ringing for American Tennis star Serena Williams and mega-rich Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian as the power couple is all set to tie knot in an intimate ceremony in New Orleans, Louisiana on Thursday.
According to the People Magazine, the ceremony will take place at the Contemporary Arts Center.
Kris Jenner, Beyonce, JAY-Z, and perhaps Prince Harry's girlfriend and actress Meghan Markle are expected to attend the wedding, which is going to be a closed affair.
It should be noted that Serena and his fiance Ohanian are getting hitched just three months after being blessed with their first child together, Alexis Ohanian Jr., on September 1.
The couple, who began dating each other in 2015, announced that they got engaged in December 2016.
Earlier this month, the former world number one celebrated her upcoming marriage with an ultra-swanky girls' weekend alongside her elder sister Venus Williams, close friends LaLa Anthony, Ciara among others in New York City.
Williams, who won this year's Grand Slam title at the Melbourne Park, while she was pregnant, is hoping to make a return just four-and-a-half months after giving birth to her baby girl at next year's Australian Open.
According to the Daily Mail, the wedding will take place at the city's Contemporary Arts Center.
The winner of 23 Grand Slam singles titles has been engaged to Ohanian, 34, since last December. She and Ohanian are parents to Alexis Olympia, who was born on September 1.
Williams, 36, has repeatedly said she will return to tennis. It remains to be seen whether it's at the Australian Open, which begins on January 15, and she is the defending champion.
Not many mothers would want to keep their new born child away from them, but Williams made an exception for her fellow Women of the Year, Gigi Hadid.
The 36-year-old even attended 2017 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City to present Hadid with the Supernova Award.
In her first public appearance since giving birth to daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. on September 1, Serena revealed that she shared such a strong bond with Hadid that she could leave her baby for a day to be a part of the supermodel's special moment.
"Gigi, you are one of the few people on this planet I would leave my baby for-for one night-but for you it shows how much you mean to me. And I want you to imagine the affect you have on the world," E! online quoted Serena, as saying.
Serena, who was speaking before giving the award to the 22-year-old, did not stop there and further heaped praise on Hadid for her positive attitude towards life.
"She understands that in order to be the best, you have to think like you are the best, work the hardest, and make sacrifices. Gigi pushes boundaries. In fact, she makes new boundaries. And she's authentically herself," Serena added.
In September, Serena revealed that she had set an 'outrageous' goal for making a comeback at the Australian Open, something which will push her Grand Slam total to an all-time record-tying 24 titles.
Serena Williams shares heartfelt letter of admiration to her mom
After giving birth to her first child, daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr., the tennis ace wrote an endearing letter to her own mother, Oracene Price, about what it has been like to see life through her point of view.
She began the letter by saying, "Dear Mom, You are one of the strongest women I know. I was looking at my daughter (OMG, yes, I have a daughter ) and she has my arms and legs! My exact same strong, muscular, powerful, sensational arms and body. I don't know how I would react if she has to go through what I've gone through since I was a 15 year old and even to this day."
In the letter, Williams recalled the times she was likened to a man because of her strong stature or false accusations that her performance on the court was the result of drugs.
The letter continued, "I've been called man because I appeared outwardly strong. It has been said that that I use drugs (No, I have always had far too much integrity to behave dishonestly in order to gain an advantage). It has been said I don't belong in Women's sports, that I belong in Men's, because I look stronger than many other women do."
"But mom, I'm not sure how you did not go off on every single reporter, person, announcer and quite frankly, hater, who was too ignorant to understand the power of a black woman," she added.
Before concluding, the new mom had a few compliments for the special woman in her life.
She wrote, "You are so classy, I only wish I could take your lead. I am trying, though, and God is not done with me yet. I have a LONG way to go, but thank you. Thank you for being the role model I needed to endure all the hardships that I now regard as a challenges-ones that I enjoy. I hope to teach my baby Alexis Olympia the same, and have the same fortitude you have had."
The former world number one concluded by writing, "Your youngest of five, Serena."
