Sledging: Getting wicked between the wickets

Sledging: getting wicked between wickets

Whatever happened to the BCCI proposal made earlier this year in the aftermath of the acrimonious series in Australia that sledging had no place in cricket and should be banned? One recalls that around the same time the ICC shot off a letter to the CEOs of all its Full Member boards and international captains, asking the players to avoid sledging.

I well remember that BCCI`s suggestion did not find favour with Cricket Australia which was of the view that the regulations as they existed were good enough to curb undesirable verbals in the middle.
