After a terrific tour of England, India now move on to the Caribbean to take part in a tri-series with the home team and the Lankans. It's amazing to see how many times India has played Sri Lanka in the recent years, but the best part is they have dominated them throughout.

Sri Lanka were suffocated in the recent semifinal on a cold day in Cardiff and they will have to play out of their skins to get past this team in completely different conditions in the Caribbean. India have looked a great unit in the recent past and will look forward to carry the momentum in the next 6 months as well and this will be the real test of the team.

Good teams in world cricket look to be consistent and this will be a target for Dhoni and his men this year. The recent tour of England have provided lot of hope and hopefully it will translate into performance in all formats of the game as India have a lot of cricket and more so some tough ones in the recent future .

The performance of a lot of players have earned huge amount of praise from the stalwarts and for me the quality shown by Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin is very good news to all cricket fans. Dhawan has played for India before but with little success and since the hundred against Australia in Mohali he has become a completely different player.

This has happened to a lot of cricketers in the past. They were average cricketers in the domestic circuit but once they found that confidence in the international arena, they have taken their game to a different level. The self-belief in Dhawan has changed completely since Mohali.

It's the feeling, that I belong at this level and can perform is the biggest challenge one faces and once that feeling comes from deep inside your heart that, I may fail at times but will score more number of times than I fail, is what transforms a cricketer.

Shikhar has the technique to survive at the top and he has showed lot of fearless attitude as a batsman. He seems to enjoy the challenge as he always has a smiling face and hopefully he can show the same attitude even when he will struggle at this level at times.

For me, the man who had the biggest impact in the last tournament was Ravindra Jadeja. He was just simply outstanding under pressure and in good teams you need such players. His bowling has improved tremendously and every time his captain threw the ball at him he delivered. He bowled well at the death, in the middle-overs and what stood out was his wicket taking ability every time the opposition was just sniffing ahead of India.

His second last over in the final, his runs under pressure when India were struggling at 66 for 5 and the last over of Tim Bresnan was a perfect example of how well he has made an impact in the crucial moments of the game. He will continue to be the force in the Caribbean and if the wicket turns, there he will once again be very handy for his team.

The biggest challenge for India in this tour will be to pick themselves up. They must have been hugely satisfied with the win in England and a number of times in the past a lot of teams have found hard to pick themselves up in competitions that follow, after a good run in a major tournament and hopefully Dhoni will play a major part in dealing with this.

The Caribbean is a great place to tour and I must say a relaxing one. The beaches are the best in the world and it is a great place to relax. The Indians, can do that for a little while but once the game time comes they should get themselves up and play as well as they did in England .

They must remember good teams are followed closely by all who are waiting to criticise and such opportunities should not be given. They also have a great opportunity to show the world that we are here to stay at the top.
