Tottenham Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has told police during his tax-dodging trial that he would rather give them a hundred grand than nick a few quid off them.
Redknapp and former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandarin are in the dock before a Southwark Crown Court.
"To try and nick a few quid off the income tax... Why? I am not into that. I would rather give you a hundred grand than nick a few quid off you," said Redknapp.
Redknapp told the officers that he was earning between 35-40,000 pounds-per-week at the time and said he along with Mandarin are givers, not takers, The Sky News reports.
"As if I'm going to put myself in trouble. We are givers, not takers," he added.
He further said that he is very bad at doing business and has suffered million of pounds in losses through ruinous investments.
Redknapp told detectives that he had paid a million pounds in taxes in 2008. (ANI)
