83 – Number of runs conceded in 10 overs by Ben Hilfenhaus equals the record for the most runs conceded by an Australian against India. He and Brett Lee now share the dubious honour with figures of 10-0-83-1.

124 – Number of runs scored by Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the highest in an innings by any captain against Australia. He eclipsed the previous highest score by a skipper – Sanath Jayasuriya's 122 at Sydney in 2003. In fact, Dhoni became the first Indian skipper to score a hundred versus Australia.

354 – Number of runs scored by India is their highest score against Australia, surpassing the previous best of 315 off 49.5 overs at Bangalore in March 2001. This is the 11th time that India has amassed more than 350 runs in the ODIs. Not surprisingly, India has ended on the winning side on each of the occasions.
