The unique feat is accomplished by Mahendra Singh Dhoni with average of 104.89 from 49 innings. Four other batsmen who stand behind Dhoni are all Australians: Michael Clarke (89.20), Michael Bevan (86.25), Michael Hussey (83.87) and Shane Watson (70.36).

3 - Number of times Gautam Gambhir has been dismissed in the nervous nineties in his career of 126 ODIs. The full details are: 90 against Bangladesh at Karachi on June 28, 2008; 97 against Sri Lanka at Mumbai on April 2 last year and now 92 versus Australia at Adelaide. His latest innings helped him to bag the Man of the Match award for the 12th time in a career.

10 - Number of times India has beaten Australia under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni (in 24 matches) with their latest win by four wickets at Adelaide. Dhoni now becomes the most successful Indian captain against Australia leaving aside Kapil Dev who had nine victories versus Australia in 19 games.



270 - India's score is the third highest successful run-chase at Adelaide. The earlier two highest scores were both registered against England by Sri Lanka (303 for nine) on January 23, 1999 and by New Zealand (297 for six) on January 29, 1983.
