Dravid

9 - Number of times in the last eleven innings that Rahul Dravid has been clean bowled. His ignominious run began in the Delhi Test against West Indies last November. He has now been bowled 55 times in a career which remains the world record leaving aside another middle order batsman and skipper Allan Border's previous record of 53 such dismissals.

16 - Number of innings in which two double centuries have been scored with Ricky Ponting (221) & Michael Clarke (210) providing the latest instance. It is also the fourth instance to have happened against India after Pakistan did it at Hyderabad in 1982-83; England at Chennai in 1984-85 & Sri Lanka at Colombo in 1997.

386 - Number of runs scored by Michael Clarke & Ricky Ponting is the fifth highest stand for the fourth wicket position. It is also the second highest partnership for Australia for the same wicket behind 386-run association by Don Bradman and Bill Ponsford against England at Leeds way back in 1934.

3 - Number of players who have the distinction of scoring more than 13000 runs in a career with Ricky Ponting becoming the latest player to do so during the course of his three-figure innings. He joined the august company of Indians, namely Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.

8 - Number of centuries scored by Ricky Ponting against India making him leveled with the West Indian duo of Garry Sobers and Vivian Richards.

17 - Number of scored by Shaun Marsh in this series. The sequence of his scoring makes interesting reading: 0 & 3 at Melbourne, 0 at Sydney, 11 at Perth and 3 at Adelaide. This is the second lowest in a Test series comprising minimum five innings for a top order player. He stands behind Ken Rutherford who had made only 12 runs against West Indies in 1985.
