Wasim Jaffer, former skipper of Mumbai, accomplished two unique back-to-back landmarks of becoming the highest run-getter and century-maker in the Ranji Trophy championships.

With his valuable contributions of 132, he left behind his former Mumbai team mate Amol Muzumdar’s aggregate of 9105 runs and Ajay Sharma’s 31 hundreds.

Jaffer who made his Ranji Trophy debut way back in 1996-97, is in his 17th season and representing Mumbai team all along. He also has the honour of guiding Mumbai to championship victories twice as captain during 2008-09 & 2009-10 seasons.
