The Indian team management has retained the same Playing XI for the second and the final Test against the West Indies starting in Hyderabad from Friday.
The 12-member Indian team to feature in the final Test was announced through the BCCI twitter handle on Thursday.
Earlier speculations were rife that rookie opener Mayank Agarwal, 27 could be given a game as well as medium pacer Mohammed Siraj.
But the team management have decided to go with the winning combination from the first Test which India won by an innings and 272 runs.
Prithvi Shaw, who was handed his Test cap at Rajkot, will be keen to add to his debut ton when he takes guard in Hyderabad as well in order to stay in the race to grab an opener's slot for India’s four-Test series in Australia, which represents a last chance in 2018 for Virat Kohli’s boys to take their formidable home form and excel in overseas conditions.
India's Playing XI for Hyderabad Test: Virat Kohli (captain), Lokesh Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur.
