India batted first and scored 200 all out. In reply, Pakistan were in dire straits at one point of time but they won by 3 wickets with four balls to spare thanks to an unbeaten 81 from Yousuf Youhana.
In 2009, Pakistan won the group match between the two teams by 54 runs while in 2013, India won the Group match by eight wickets with 17 balls remaining.
