Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag are the regular openers in both the Test and ODI format and they gel well together. But Gambhir has to go one down whenever Sachin re-enters the team.
Most disappointing was Sachin’s 100th 100, a super slow century against Bangladesh. His innings cost India the match and ultimately the tournament. 114 runs off 147 balls is not an innings one sees nowadays when 400 has been breached so many times.
