Victoria Pendleton admits to taking ballet classes when young

'Strictly Come Dancing' hopeful Victoria Pendleton has revealed a secret past that may give her the edge over her rivals - she took ballet classes as a child.

In fact, the 31-year-old British Olympian has said that she found the lessons "boring" and made up excuses to stop her mother making her attend.

"I have to admit this isn't the first time I have danced," the Daily Express quoted her as telling Radio Times.

"I took ballet when I was little but after two lessons I told my mum that my feet hurt.

"In truth I was just bored so I told a big lie. I found good toes, bad toes, good toes, bad toes so tedious," she said.

However, the cycling star said that she is looking forward to wearing beautiful "spangly dresses" on the show, but added that wearing high heels for the first time in a decade has been "agony." (ANI)
