Vinoo Mankad Trophy: Arjun Tendulkar claims fifer in Mumbai's big win over Gujarat

Legendary Sachin Tenulkar's son Arjun is moving up the ranks with his left-arm pace bowling. Arjun returned with figures of 5/30 to help Mumbai crush Gujarat by 9 wickets in their second round encounter of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy on Saturday.

Arjun's figures of 5/30 was instrumental in bowling out Gujarat for just 142 runs. The 19-year-old dismissed Vardhman Dattesh Shah (0), Priyesh (1), LM Kocher (8), Jaymeet Patel (26) and Dhruvang Patel (6) in the 8.2 overs he bowled which included a maiden.

Chasing the target of 143, Mumbai openers Suven Parkar (67*) and Divyaanch (45) gave them a perfect start forging a 108-run partnership. While Divyaansh was dismissed in the 32nd over (31.2) by SM Prajapati, Pragnesh Kanpillewar (27) and Parkar ensured that Mumbai reached the target in 38 overs with 9 wickets in hand. Mumbai will play Bengal in their next group match after which they will clash with Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.
