Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that the humiliating defeat his team endured against AC Milan in the Champions League would haunt him forever.
"It never gets out of your system because you take it with you until the last day of your life," The Telegraph quoted Wenger, as saying.
"But when you love competition, you always strive for the next one to prove that you are ready for a new fight. That is what competition is about," he said.
Arsenal will now face Sunderland at the Stadium of Lights in the FA Cup fifth round tie.
Wenger apologized for the second time to the Arsenal supporters for the miserable performance in Italy.
He also severely criticized his players for the awful performance against the San Siro outfit. Having already described the display a 'disaster', he said: "We want them [the fans] to be on our side. They were absolutely fantastic in Milan and we can only say sorry." (ANI)
