Sachin Tendulkar, the most successful batsman in ODIs with a record aggregate of 16440 runs and a record tally of 42 hundreds, has been involved in a few rummy streaks during the last three years:

In 2007, he was dismissed in the nervous nineties on as many as six occasions- twice each against South Africa, England and Pakistan. His scoring sequence read: 99, 93, 99, 94, 99 and 97. It even made his son Arjun remark, “Papa, you should go for a six once you are on 94.” Those dismissals made him the record holder for the most nineties (17) in an ODI career.
In dozen matches in 2008, the master batsman could raise only one hundred - a magnificent 117 not out against Australia in the triangular final at Sydney on March 2, 2008 - which remains his last ODI ton. Over the last one year, he has failed to notch up another century.

And finally, in three matches in 2009, he has been dismissed leg before wicket for single-digit scores (all controversial decisions) in Sri Lanka. This is the first and only instance of a hat-trick of lbw dismissals in the little master’s career.
What next, Sachin?
