World T20: South Africa thrash Zimbabwe by 10 wickets

Hambantota: South Africa recorded their first win in the World Twenty20 Championship, thrashing Zimbabwe by ten wickets at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium here Thursday.

Jacques Kallis starred with the ball for South Africa taking four wickets while Richard Levi struck an unbeaten half-century to help chase his team Zimbabwe's meager target of 93 for eight. His opening partner Hashim Amla too scored a fine 32.

Earlier, Craig Ervine top scored for Zimbabwe with 37 of 40 balls while Jacques Kallis gave away just 15 runs, taking four wickets in his four overs for South Africa.
