Abu Dhabi: Riding high on the win in the first game of the three match series against New Zealand, Pakistan captain Younis Khan has said that his team has the potential to crush the Black Caps in all the three games.

Pakistan won the first match by a massive margin of 138 runs and Khan said his boys would be going out all guns blazing in the second match on Friday (Today) to take an invincible 2-0 lead in the tournament.

"It would be great if we win the second match and with it the series, and that would be our first series win for one year. It is important that we keep the winning momentum," The News quoted Khan, as saying.

Acknowledging the need of winning the second encounter in order to remain alive in the series, New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori said if Pakistan bats first, the prime task of his bowlers would be to restrict them to a score of 230 to 240.

"We realise that we have to win this game. If we manage to restrict them to 230-240 it would be great," Vettori said.

Vettori said his bowlers need to be disciplined and bowl in the right areas if the team has to restrict the opponents to an average total.

The Kiwi bowlers had conceded 107 runs in the last 10 overs in the first ODI.

Meanwhile, there is some good news for the Kiwis as fast bowlers Kyle Mills and James Franklin, who both missed the first match because of injuries, took part in the practice session, and Vettori hoped they would be available for the match.
