US sends two liaison officers to Pak in hope of ending bilateral ties impasse The United States has sent two liaison officers to Peshawar to meet with the Pakistan military on matters of border coordination, according to Pentagon spokesman Captain John F Kirby.
Kirby said there are no military trainers in Pakistan, but added liaison officers from the Regional Command East headquarters in Afghanistan did travel to Peshawar recently to meet with their Pakistan military counterparts
