Milwaukee museum hosts French posters exhibit
A Milwaukee Art Museum is hosting an exhibit of 19th century French posters.The more than 100 posters were designed by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Jules Chéret, Pierre Bonnard, Alphonse Mucha and others.Exhibition curator Mary Weaver Chapin says the posters covered billboards, scaffolding, Morris columns, kiosks and shop windows throughout Paris in the late 1800s.She says the works celebrated
