OMC's export earnings at Rs 107 cr in last 3 yrs
State owned mining firm Orissa Mining Corporation (OMC) has realized Rs 107.57 crore by way of 405,795 tonnes of iron ore exports in the past three years. The mine PSU has also earned Rs 3790.63 crore through sale of 15.79 million tonnes of the mineral ore within the country during 2008-09 to 2010-11, revealed a written statement made by steel & mines minister Raghunath Mohanty in the state assembly.
