DMK posturing on petrol rise
After the Trinamool Congress made public its opposition to the petrol price rise, it was the turn of the DMK to flex its muscles threatening to pull out of the alliance on the issue. However, within hours of issuing his ultimatum, party chief M Karunanidhi did a U-turn claiming he was misquoted and said his party would continue to remain within the UPA with “bitterness.”
