Goa family accepts compensation for NRI death
Panaji, June 03 (IBNS) After initial refusal, the family of a Non Resident Indian who died after allegedly being severely beaten up in the police lock-up last year has accepted the compensation of Rs 5 lakh from the Goa government.Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, Shekhar Prabhudesai told reporters that the compensation cheque was accepted by Simplicial, paternal aunt of late Cipriano Fernandes.
