Financial inclusion nearing completion in state
The financial inclusion porgramme in the state has gained ground with banks covering 1875 of the mandated 1877 unbanked villages with a population of over 2000. By the end of March this year, banks have extended facilities for banking in 1875 villages through opening brick and mortar branches in 54 villages, appointment of banking correspondents in 1738 villages and mobile van banking in 83 villages.
