Buddhist servicves to resume in Lhasa Beijing: Buddhist monasteries in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa will resume religious activities for the first time since protests against Chinese rule turned violent last month, the official Xinhua news agency said on Saturday.
One of Lhasa's main monasteries, the Drepung, will soon hold Buddhist services five times every month, Xinhua said. No date was given for the resumption of services.
