Two men kill minor girl as 'sacrifice' for better harvest
Raipur: Police in Chhattisgarh have arrested two men for killing a girl to appease their god for a better harvest, an officer said Monday. The arrest was made last week from a forested area of illiteracy-hit Bijapur district, some 450 km south of Raipur. 'Two poor people have been arrested on charges of sacrificing a seven-year-old girl, Lalita Tati,' Superintendent of Police R.N. Das told newsmen.
