STOCKS NEWS SINGAPORE-Shares march higher by midday Singapore shares marched higher by midday, snapping four
straight sessions of losses on hopes that European policymakers
and the G7 will take action to ease the euro zone crisis.
Finance chiefs of the Group of Seven leading industrialised
powers will hold emergency talks by phone later on Tuesday.
The benchmark Straits Times Index rose 0.7 percent
to 2,716.39, broadly in line with other Asian bourses.
