HP: Luxury tax holiday for hotels in tribal areas
According to a decision taken by the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, all upcoming hotels in the tribal and hard areas of Himachal Pradesh will be exempted from luxury tax for ten years.
Around a third of HP falls in the category of tribal and hard areas in Lahaul, Spiti , Kinnaur , Pangi and Dodra Kwar . These are some of the most sparsely populated regions of the country .
