Toxic traffic metals pollute air
Madrid, Feb 26 (IANS) Particles of toxic metals, generated by cars, may not only contaminate the air but also seep under the asphalt and harm the adjacent soil and plants, a study reveals.
Jose Antonio Carrero, chemist at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Spain, investigated the impact of the metals emitted by cars and their short, medium and long term consequences.
