Fishermen Killing: Italian delegation meets Indian officials
New Delhi/ Kochi: An Italian delegation today met senior External Affairs Ministry officials here and discussed the killing of two Indian fishermen by the guards on board an Italian ship with both sides accepting that no armed personnel can fire on unarmed fishermen. In absence of any legal treaties of bilateral nature to discuss such issues, both sides also decided to carry on with their own investigations

UN welcomes relocating Iranian exiles in Iraq
Baghdad, Feb 19 (IBNS) The United Nations has welcomed safe relocation of about 400 residents of the Iraqi settlement formerly known as Camp Ashraf to a new transit centre elsewhere in the country, calling it "the first step towards a better future" for the residents, who are Iranian exiles.

Save the Children asks CM to create and chair a Nutrition Mission to deal with malnutrition
A delegation of health workers of Delhi and Save the Children International CEO Jasmine Whitbread, Save the Children India Chairman Harpal Singh and CEO Thomas Chandy today asked Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to constitute and chair a Nutrition Mission, to which she agreed. Save the Children’s global report on malnutrition, A Life free From Hunger, was presented to the Chief Minister by the delegation, who congratulated her for Delhi meeting the MDG4 (Millennium Development Goal 4) target on child mortality. Stating the critical need to deal with malnutrition, Mr Singh said, “The demographic dividend can only happen if children are healthy.”
