Haridwar: Yoga Guru Ramdev Baba was at his enthusiastic best, seated next to Acharya Balkrishna, even as a team of doctors and researchers unveiled what looks as India's Shuddha-desi answer to Coronavirus. Patanjali Ayurved launched a kit code-named Coronil to treat Coronavirus.
"Coming up with a clinically tested, evidence-based medicine was a challenge," said Ramdev Baba even as he talked about the immunity boosting Coronil. "We appointed a team of scientists after COVID-19 outbreak," said Acharya Balkrishna, Ramdev's close aide and Managing Director at Patanjali Ayurved. He added that Patanjali conducted a clinical case study on hundreds of positive patients.
Even as an extensive report on the medicine's efficiency is awaited, Patanjali Ayurved has claimed that a 100 percent recovery was possible for patients within 3-7 days. "The whole country and the world was waiting for medicine or vaccines for corona. We are proud to announce that the first Ayurvedic, clinically controlled trial based evidence and research-based medicine has been prepared by the combined efforts of Patanjali Research Centre and NIMS," said Ramdev.
The drug packaged as a kit is helpful for patients who have been detected with a mild virus strain. The kit is yet to be tested on patients with severe virulent strain or those who are dependent on ventilators.
Here's a look at the Patanjali's Coronil claims, the cost, ingredients and other things.
