This car has had the purists stumped. This electric car powers itself from a Chinese battery which seems to house something innovative about itself.
The battery's cell design, the makers claim, barely heats by 15 degrees while in use. Surprisingly the Piech Mark Zero's charge can be topped to 80% in under 4:40 minutes. Chinese battery manufacturer Desten is reportedly making all the difference to this car.
In terms of performance, the makers target 0-100 kmph in under 3.2 seconds, top speed of 250 kmph, and a charge of approximately 500 kilometers.
The electric car's 4-wheel drive and motor generating 610 hp makes it a tough contender in the electric cars segment.
For the record, Toni Piech, the brain behind this concept car is the son of Ferdinand Piech who was the former CEO of the Volkswagen Group. Toni's great-grandfather was the legendary Ferdinand Porsche. It is expected hence that Toni's product could be a great design coupled with good performance.
