Mumbai: The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note. This, after closing on Tuesday in the red by 624 points. On Tuesday, the markets saw extreme loss, although stocks of Reliance Industries Limited were up by ten percent in the session.
On Wednesday, the benchmark Sensex on the Bombay Stock Exchange opened at 37,233.50 and touched a high of 37,250.07. It touched a low of 36,043.73 after closing at 36,958.16 on Saturday.
It was trading at 37,094.31 up by 136.15 points or 0.37 per cent.
Meanwhile, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 11,003.25 points after closing at 10,925.85 points. It was trading at 10,956.65 in the morning.
