India's largest car maker said that customers can book the premium hatchback by making an initial down payment of Rs 11,000. This, could be subject to terms and conditions including availability and finance options.
The model is expected likely before the end of February.
Some of the updates on the Baleno are an aggressive front design, standard dual airbags, child restraint system, pre-tensioner, and force limiter seat belts. In addition, the 2019 edition offers ABS with EBD. There are a host of other security and safety features such as speed alert systems and reminders to co-drivers to wear seat belts.
Customers should also be informed that the 2019 edition has rear parking assist sensors.
Baleno has been rated among India's popular hatchbacks and recorded a 14% growth in sales in the first nine months of the last year. Maruti sold about 5 lakh units of the car in a span of 38 months. And according to a press release, sold just over 5.2 lakh units of the car.
In a note, R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director for Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki was quoted a few months ago saying, "Baleno has become a resounding success in the highly competitive premium hatchback segment. It is a testimony of our best in class technology and customer experience. Our engineers have ensured that Baleno offers superior ride and handling, class leading performance and safety. With a staggering 20.6 % growth in first half of 2018-19, Baleno has been among the top selling cars in India, since 2016. We are grateful for our customers' constant support that has made Baleno India's most preferred premium hatchback."
Maruti Suzuki is yet to reveal the exact modifications and pictures of the next-gen Baleno. But we hope it is as popular as other models such as WagonR, Alto, and Brezza.
