OnePlus 6: From water resistance, to notch, an all-decked glass & complete specs to price and where to buy this latest flagship

The latest iteration of OnePlus's device is up for grabs.

After months of intense speculation over wireless charging, and the notch, to retaining the 3.55 mm headphone jack, there is clarity and confirmation on all fronts.

First up, this is an all-glass device - which makes it look all the more premium. Early reviewers shared that it does attract fingerprints, but shied away from calling it a fingerprint magnet.

On the design front, fans were expecting Oneplus to incorporate originality, but were left wanting after finding that OP had incorporated the Apple inspired notch on the front.

The design although has completely changed from the previous 5 and 5T versions. One of the most striking features of this phone is it's placement of the cameras to the back - vertically this time, one above another. And you will also spot the fingerprint sensor relegated to the back.

While OP3 and OP3T users had nothing to complain about front facing fingerprint sensors, 5 and 5T users commented that finger placement to the back would have been easier for an over 5.5-inch tall phone. The comparison here was with the likes of flagship models of Samsung that had placed the fingerprint sensor on the back. Even the Xiaomi Note series had placed the fingerprint sensor on the back. That has now been done.

One among OP's best updates for 2018 is the promise of water resistance. Rains in almost all parts of India have become erratic, and any kind of water resistance is welcome. OnePlus says that their latest device is built to offer water resistance for everyday occasions, such as rain or an accidental drop in a puddle. Sadly, there is no IP rating currently for water resistance, but again the assurance from the company is a good start.
