A reading into the Zodiac signs of India's 100 richest Billionairesses reveals that Cancer, Scorpio, Aquarius, Pisces, Leo, Virgo, and Aries are Zodiac signs of the wealthy women of the country. 52 of 100 rich Indian women were either Cancerian, Scorpion, Piscean, Aquarius, or Leo.
Wealth tracker Hurun India and Kotak Wealth Management compiled a report of 100 wealthy women and found their cumulative wealth at Rs 2,72,540 crores. A Whopping 23 percent of this wealth was attributed to Zodiac Signs Cancer (12%) and Scorpio (11%). For those unaware, former PepsiCo
Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi's Zodiac Sign is Scorpio. Mahima Datla from Hyderabad based Biological E with a wealth of Rs 4,100 crores is the richest Cancerian.
16 percent of the top-100 rich women are either Virgo (8%) or Aries (8%). India's richest woman Roshni Nadar Malhotra with a wealth of Rs 54,850 crores is a Virgo while Kiran Mazumdar Shaw the second richest with a wealth of Rs 36,600 is Aries.
20 percent of rich women were Pisces (10%) or Aquarius (10%). The richest Piscean is Leena Gandhi Tewari of Mumbai based pharmaceutical manufacturer USV with a wealth of Rs 21,340 crores. 9 of the 100 rich women were Leos with Anjali Singh as the richest Leo with a wealth of Rs 3,450 crores.
Based on available data, Cancer seems to be the Zodiac sign of wealth. For reference, Hurun studied the Zodiac signs of 828 rich individuals in Sept'20 and found that the richest individuals shared sun signs such as Cancer, Virgo, Gemini, Aries and Capricorn. 10 percent or the highest from this list were Cancerians. HCL Systems' Founder, Shiv Nadar was the richest Cancerian. When it comes to wealth generation, Aries is certainly the master of it. After all, this is the Zodiac sign of the richest Indian and Asian, Mukesh Ambani.

Besides Zodiac signs, the Hurun list also studied age of the rich women and rich women from startups and as professional managers. The average age on the wealthy index was 53 years but the list found 19 women achievers under the age of 40 -- 32 year old Kanika Tekriwal of JetSetGo and Anjana Reddy of Universal SportsBiz and Vidhi Shanghavi of Sun Pharma are youngest on the list.
Majority of the women leaders come from the Pharmaceutical sector although there were sizable contributions from Textile, Apparel and Accessories, and even healthcare. Four women from the list found a place in Hurun Philanthropy list too. With four entrants, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise produced the most number of women leaders on the list, followed by Godrej Group which contributed three entrants on the list. The list also delves into the self-made success stories. Kiran Shaw tops the list here, while Radha Vembu of Chennai based Zoho Corp, Jayshree Ullal of Arista Networks are placed second and third respectively.
Hurun also researched on professional managers and found Ullal, Indra Nooyi - PepsiCo and Renu Sud Karnad of HDFC among leaders. The professional managers list also includes Shanti Ekambaram of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Shikha Sharma of Axis Bank and Vibha Padalkar of HDFC Life Insurance.
Among startups, Divya Gokulnath of Byju's with a wealth of Rs 3,490 crores, Falguni Nayyar of Nykaa with a wealth of Rs 5,410 crores and Anjana Reddy of Universal SportsBiz with a wealth of Rs 300 crores topped the startups list.
Mumbai (32), New Delhi (20), Hyderabad (10), Chennai (7), and Bengaluru (6) are cities that the top wealthy women call their home as.
