Piyush, Kashish, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Richa Chadda
This flick made news for all the wrong reasons. Film-maker Goverdhan, who has written the story, screenplay apart from scoring music, took the Censor Board to the courts after it suggested several cuts in the film. Nirdoshi Nirdoshi, earlier titled Rasagulla, is a movie that has a weak storyline with pathetic narration. The science thriller is about the discovery of a wonder drug and thugs who are behind its secret formula. There is romance, comedy and several unexplained mysteries in the plot. But the ending is abrupt and the audience is left confused.
There are plenty of hot scenes, rapes and exposure with the female leads appearing in bikini at the drop of a hat. It had been a long since a movie of this nature was made in Kannada. Probably, the director is trying to encash on skin show. But his attempt has failed with the movie resembling a tele serial.
All the artistes are from Hindi TV serials. The director plans to dub the movie into Hindi and other South Indian languages. But none of the artistes seem to justify their selection. Piyush, Kashish and Richa Chaddha fail to emote.
The only surprise element of the film is well-known actor Kulbhushan Kharbandana. The audience is left wondering as to what is Kharbanda doing in such a film. His appearance in a special role in the film does not add value to the story.
The least said the better about other aspects of the film. The dialogue is cheap and there is heavy dose of irrelevant science fiction. The music sounds amateurish. Nirdoshi is avoidable.
