Movie Title

3 Guttu 1 Sullu 1 Nija

Dinesh Baboo

Star Cast

Ramesh Aravind, Komalkumar, Nancy Thakkar, Srinivasamurthy, Sudha Belawadi

A quickie with comedy and emotion packed in equal dose, this is a neat and tidy attempt made on a shoestring budget shot in less than 20 days. ?Get a good script and save the producer and bail out sagging image of Kannada filmdom? ? films like this is a good example.

Director Dinesh Baboo has bounced back with an entertainer (with a recent flop Mr Painter) that is absorbing in the second half. The amusing dialogues and Komal's inimitable style of blending mannerisms with words and Ramesh Aravind high caliber acting in the climax makes this 'Mooru Guttu, Ondu Sullu, Ondu Nija,' (Three Secrets, One Falsity, One Truth) worth watching.

When the parents go on a pilgrimage to Tirupathi, the youngsters in the house decide on bringing their boyfriends and girlfriend home. Each of the three; the son and two daughters; do it without informing the other. The three pairs are closeted in their rooms for fun when an uninvited guest (Ramesh Aravind as Appu) arrives and keeps them awake all night.

Though Appu convinces them that he is their distant relative, a suspicious finger is always pointed at him. Appu wrecks everyone?s plans. But in the end when the parents come back he is revealed as a tragic hero.

Ramesh Aravind as a villager is dedicated in his effort. The dialogue style is also different for Ramesh Aravind. Komalkumar is once again good. Nancy Thakkar looks good.

It is a story that happens in 24 hours there is scope for only song scored by debutant music director Suma Shastry. Dinesh Baboo has handled the camera work and gives the right lighting and mood for the film.

Verdict: Above Average
