Aakramana happens to be the first 3-D horror movie in Sandalwood and it was one of the most expected releases this year. The movie does not disappoint the audiences.

The movie begins with a peon?s death in Chakravarthy Arts and Science College. Sub-Inspector Subhash (Raghu Mukherjee), while trying to nab the miscreants, bumps into Nireeksha (Daisy Shah), falls in love with her and marries her without much drama! After Nireeksha moves into Subhash?s new house, she witnesses strange phenomenon, which she initially doesn?t understand. Her efforts to discuss the same with her cop-husband go in vain as he rubbishes them.

To get over it, Nireeksha joins the Chakravarthy Arts and Science College as a lecturer, where she is continued to be haunted by the spirits and this drives her crazy. Situation turns worse when the faculty members are killed one by one under mysterious circumstances. If Nireeksha is hallucinating or experiencing these strange feelings for real is something to watch out for on the big screen. This is where the actual horror part of the film begins! The movie goes on to the retro mode, a flash back story.

Commendable efforts by Prashanth, who has chosen horror subject in his debut. While there are a few scenes in the film, which have been shot with lot of attention, there are some sequences which suffer from technical setbacks! The technical team could have put in more efforts, which would have made a big difference on the silver screen. Nevertheless, as it is a horror movie, the movie just goes on without leaving much for the audience to guess about the next scene!

Raghu Mukherjee steals the show with his looks as a tuff cop but fails to deliver dialogues in an impressive manner. The Jai Ho actress, Daisy Shah looks pretty but needs to improvise her expressions if she opts to perform in a horror flick next time. Newbie Shilpa Sharma has given an appreciable performance and looks stunning and promising in the retro looks. Avinash and Makarand Deshapande, who play the antagonists, fit into the shoes perfectly.

The movie is an eye opener as it deals with superstition and human sacrifice subject in a very unique way. The movie is a recommended watch in 3D!
