After a sabbatical, Amala Akkineni has now returned to Tamil cinema with a Tamil-Telugu bilingual bankrolled  by Dream Warrior Pictures. Sharwanand plays the lead in the film which also has Anirudh's father Ravi Raghavendra who will be seen playing Amala's husband.

Directed by Shree Karthik, Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi are taking care of the comedy department in the Telugu version while Sathish and Ramesh Thilak are playing the same part in the Tamil version of the yet-untitled film.

Jakes Bejoy is composing the music for the film, Sujith Sarang is cranking the camera and Srijith Sarang takes care of the cuts. Amala had previously acted in several blockbuster films including Mounam Samadham, Maapillai, and Sathya in Tamil. But after marrying Telugu actor Nagarjuna, Amala was not keen to come in front of the camera.

"It's been heartwarming playing Amma to Sharwanand. Working in a Tamil / Telugu bilingual after many years.@DreamWarriorpic @prabhu_sr #Sharwanand @twittshrees @riturv @sujithsarang @actorsathish #Rameshthilak @vennelakishore @priyadarshi_i @JeBe #RaviRaghavendra", tweeted Amala.
