At the media meet of his upcoming film 'Magamuni', Arya said: " One fine day, I asked my director on why it took eight years for him to write the script of Magamuni, Shantha told me that he bought a bike with the advance amount of the film and traveled across the country".

"Now Shanthakumar is planning to buy a bicycle so you could guess the time he would take for his next script. I think he should only buy him a flight now" said Arya on a lighter note.

"Initially Shantha only told me the portions of Maga and only after wrapping up those scenes, he narrated me the Muni character. He researched so much that you know the exact biographies of each and every character", added Arya who thanked all the actors for delivering an authentic performance which was a driving force for him.

The film's director Shanthakumar said: "You know your working hours in an office but a script like Maga Muni is not time-bounded. The script also has a few elements from my personal life so only my wife and producer know what exactly I was doing all these years".

Shanthakumar's debut film 'Mouna Guru' won many awards and attained a cult status in Tamil cinema but it took eight years for him to come up with his next.

The director thanked Gnanavel Raja for not pressurizing him too much in the script work and for providing enough freedom. Mahima Nambiar and Indhuja will be seen as the female leads in the film for which Thaman has composed music.

Maga Muni is all set to release on September 6.
