Veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja has requested Tamil Nadu Government to grant permission to resume the shoot of small budget films. Thanking the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for allowing TV serial producers to conduct shoot in Chennai and the other parts of the state with the presence of 60 members.
Bharathiraja requested the Government to help out small budget film producers to resume the shoot with the same number of workers.
"We are in a situation to save the film industry and our Chief Minister should help us. As an industry, we assure that all our producers and the respective teams will follow the necessary guidelines. Many of our workers are struggling without proper food. Also, the Government should consider reopening the theaters", said Bharathiraja in his statement.
Earlier, producers J Satishkumar and Suresh Kamatchi also requested the Chief Minister to allow producers to resume the shoot.
