Manoj Manchu, Sheena, Jayaprakash Reddy, Ahuti Prasad
Veeru Potla, the writer of blockbuster films like Varsham and Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana has made his debut as director with this film. He has also taken the additional responsibilities of screenplay and dialogues. He has come with a tagline ?It is not a love story, but a story of love.? It has some funny moments, and good comedy dialogues. On the whole, it is okay and time pass flick.
Ajay (Manoj) belongs to a rich feudal lord's family in Chittore district. His father is died in faction killings, he takes oath to unite both the warring families ? his uncle?s Mahendra Naidu (Ahuti Prasad) and his rival Seshadri Naidu (Jayaprakash). Meanwhile, he also falls in love with his maradalu Girija (Sheena). How this guy unites both the families with his knack forms the rest of the story. Manoj exudes high energy. As an actor, he has material to shine but he needs to look about his glamour part. In some scenes, he is shown in pretty ordinary way looks wise. His dialogue delivery is good though he constantly imitates his father Mohan Babu. Sheena Shabdi, the Bollywood babe, has small and svelte figure but has indulged in heavy skin show. In other roles, it is Brahmanandam, Mastar Bharat and Raghu Babu shine. In fact, they have brought some good laughter on to the screen with their perfect timing. Coming to the story, director Veeru Potla jetted in some shades of Venky?s Kalisundam Raa. But, he could bring to play all the elements with a judicious mixture. Action part remained dominating yet without missing the other elements. He succeeded in involving the audience in the story by sustaining the tempo from the start to finish. Cinematography by Ramesh Babu is an asset. Music by Bobo Sasi is average. Dialogues are funny.
While the first half is smeared with love, action and comedy, the second half has more scope for the comedy, giving the film a plus point.
Time pass comedy entertainer
Average comedy entertainer
Decent rural family entertainer
Soubin Shahir and Mamta Mohandas shine in this conventional film
