Kerala Box-Office (March 2014)

Even other language films did not have a good time at the KBO. The examination season, election fever and bad content are being blamed for the drop in collections. Too many releases every week has also created an excess of films, with hardly anything worth to watch. For the sake of a countdown, here is the March KBO. Mohanlal`s Jeethu Joseph directed Drishyam, which celebrated its 100 days last Friday continues its golden run in Kerala theatres and is the number one by a mile. It is the highest grosser in the history of Malayalam cinema. And at number two is Ohm Shanti Oshaana, which celebrated 50 days in nearly 25 screens in Kerala. In the third place is Mammootty`s Praise the Lord, which failed to take an opening. The cricket movie 1983 is an average grosser and is at number four. Jayaram`s Onnum Mindathe failed to take an opening but since it is a new release, it is at number five.
