Chennai Box-Office - January 2 to 4

The Christmas - New Year box-office in Chennai was dominated by Aamir Khan's Raju Hirani directed PK, the highest grossing film in India. PK has crossed Rs 300 Crore in India domestic, 17 days after its release on December 19.PK has become the highest grossing film in Tamil Nadu also. From Chennai city and suburbs (Chengalpet area) alone it has grossed over Rs 3 Crore, highest ever for a Hindi film. PK is the clear number one by a mile.Vikram Prabhu's Vellakara Durai, a typical B & C film, trashed by the critics is at number two. In the third place is Arya-Hansika Meaghamann, which is average in multiplexes and at four is Kayal, struggling to survive. And in the fifth position is Rajinikanth's Lingaa.
